GOSAFE Mobile Safe

I was given a GOSAFE Mobile Safe for test and evaluation. I chose that model specifically because I wanted to use the GOSAFE as an alternative to a traditional safe and not have ammo in my gun while it is locked up. When I traveled prior to having the GOSAFE I used a Gunvault NV300 Full Size Pistol box to secure my Glock 19. Including the security cable, the NV300 weighs 2 lbs. 13.5 ounces (45.5 ounces) empty. It is 9.5” long and 6.5” wide, having a depth of 1.75,” consuming a volume of 108 cubic inches. The GOSAFE wights 5.1 ounces, has a length of 5.25,” a maximum width of 1.75,” and a maximum depth of 1.125,” consuming a volume of 10.3 cubic inches. In simple terms, the GOSAFE is 11% of the weight of the NV300 and takes up 9.5% of the volume of the NV300 while packed in my suitcase, all while preventing the use of my firearm by anyone not having the high security key. The GOSAFE is much lighter and uses up much less volume than traditional safes in situations where weight/volume are constrained. Small and lightweight are great, but does it work? My experience with the GOSAFE tells me that it does what it claims.
